Title: SPIES
Author: Richard Platt
Publisher(level): DORLING KINDERSLEY READERS(2.0)
Summary:
This book is written about spies. There are many spies in the world. Perhaps spies has been since ancient times. In 12th century, Japanese spies was known as Ninja -"invisible men". Dressed in black, they crept silently into houses to poison or stab their unsuspecting victims. In wartime, the work of spies is more important than ever. Spies try to discover everything about the enemy army. But some spies are found and some are killed. Spies have many tools which makes spying much easier. Spies often disguise themselves so that they can move around undetected. Some spies are double agent. Fpr example, Aldrich Ames worked for the CIA, but also worked for the KGB. A spy who is 16 years old broke into US Air Force computers. In the future, warfare on the Internet could do as much harm as bombs and bullets.

Evaluation: 4stars
I am very interested in spies, so this book is interesting for me. I don't know the fact that spies were in ancient times. After I read this book, I got more and more interested in spies, but I never want to be spies because spies may be killed by enemies if caught. I wonder where spies are nowadays.
